The Science Department would like to keep all of our Highgate families informed about our focus areas for each of the year levels, as well as the events planned for Science throughout the year.

Click HERE to find our Scope and Sequence Chart for Science from Pre-primary to Year 6. The chart is a simple snapshot of the year in our subject area. As you can see, during the year we will focus on each of the Science Understandings while consistently teaching the inquiry skills. We’ve also included a list below of the Science events at Highgate throughout 2023.

If you would like to keep up to date with all of the happenings in Science, please take a look at our fortnightly report in the Highgate Newsletter as this is your opportunity to see how we have tackled the learning area for that fortnight.

We would like to welcome the newest member of our Science Team, Miss Mariya Konig who will be teaching some of the junior classes this year. We’re very excited to have her on board. Please always feel free to email any of the Science teachers in regard to your child’s Science education. We are only too happy to meet with you, or chat at a mutually convenient time.
